i got paid on wednesday and thus a trip to the bookstore was in order!
#The Battle of Evernight: The Bitterbynde, Book 3 by Cecilia Dart-Thornton-started 1-14-04; finished 1-15-04 Gunslinger Girl, vol. 1 by Yu Aida-started 1-14-04; finished 1-14-04 i also got a copy of Mercedes Lackey's The Gates of Sleep. i'm saving that one so i have something to read next week. last friday i went by the library. i was pleasantly surprised to find that you could now check out graphic novels! mind, the selection is small. i may see if i could recommend some books... here's what i checked out: Liberty Meadows: Eden by Frank Cho-started 1-9-04; finished 1-9-04 Indiana Jones and the White Witch by Martin Caidin-started 1-10-04; finished 1-12-04 (research for one of my blue canary characters!) Creature Tech by Doug Tennapel-started 1-11-04; finished 1-11-04 (this is the guy who created Earthworm Jim!) i have put Les Mis down. i got up to the chapters that start explaining about Marius and his grandfather and i just couldn't get into it right then... also, i've been reading another Terry Pratchett novel to my boyfriend. this time it's Moving Pictures, a satire on the movie industry. over the holidays, my boyfriend noticed a local sam goody closing and got some cheap manga for me! now i'm going to get the beginning of these series. Ceres: Celestial Legend, vo. 2: Yuhi by Yû Watase-started 1-8-04; finished 1-8-04 Kare Kano: His & Her Circumstances (book 5) by Masami Tsuda-started 1-8-04; finished 1-8-04 |
