The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien-finished 8-27-03
Perdido Street Station by China Miéville-started 8-28-03 i have to say that this is the longest it has ever taken me to finish LOTR. Perdido Street Station is starting out to be a strange and verbose book. the descriptions at some point remind of clive barker's imagica. i get the same strange sense reading this book as i did with that one. but so far, he's no where near as macabe. the story has sucked me in and i'm interested to see it's outcome. more later. |
